mahdollistaa uusien palveluiden kehittäminen ja käyttöönotto.

 Myös
Virven puheliikenteen häiriötön siirto turvallisuuskriittisille toimijoille
omistetusta Tetra-verkosta kaupallisiin mobiiliverkkoihin vaatii uusien
ominaisuuksien käyttöönoton.

perustuvaa Virve-palvelua on kehitetty. Kun teknologia ensi vuosikymmenellä

kehitysseminaarin Espoossa 25.–27.10. Tilaisuuteen kuului TCCA Critical Communications Broadband Groupin (CCBG)
täysistunto. TCCA
edistää kriittisen viestinnän standardoituja ratkaisuja kansainvälisesti.

The State Security Networks Group Finland creates solutions for the government communications of the future

Finland is strongly involved in designing and providing the framework for the critical government broadband communications of the future. The authorities need high-availability wireless broadband services for forming a situational awareness and for operational management. For example, a mobile video image, which sets very high demands on broadband access, will be used in the future for forming situational awareness.

The task of the State Security Networks Group Finland is to guarantee the availability of services in all circumstances, and to enable the development and deployment of new services.

”For the State Security Networks Group Finland, it is important to be involved in creating standardised critical communication services. We want the Finnish authorities to continue to have the highest quality communications services,” says Timo Lehtimäki, CEO of the State Security Networks Group Finland.

The deployment of new features is also needed to ensure the smooth transition of voice communications from the Virve network, based on a dedicated security-critical Tetra technology, to commercial mobile networks.

“The State Security Networks Group Finland has had a major influence on the development of the current Tetra-based Virve service. When this technology is switched to LTE in the 2020s, the importance of our role will grow even further”, says Antti Kauppinen, Development Manager at the State Security Networks Group Finland.

Together with Nokia, the State Security Networks Group Finland hosted an international development seminar on the public authority solutions of the future in Espoo, Finland, on October 25–27. The event included a plenary session of the TCCA Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG). TCCA promotes standardized solutions for critical communications internationally.
