VIRVE is a cornerstone of police operations

– I well remember the time when police officers started testing VIRVE. At first, the network faced great difficulties, and there was no certainty whether this is the right way to go, says Mikko Paatero, National Police Commissioner, the Ministry of the Interior.
Today, VIRVE IS an essential and esteemed tool for the police. Users have given VIRVE high ratings (8–9), which is an excellent result for the basically critical police force. For the police, reliable voice communications is the main thing.
– VIRVE is the cornerstone of police operations. In communications, its basic feature is related to work safety, but it is primarily also a command tool. VIRVE is used for taking care of general and field command. Through the system, operations command is stronger, says Paatero.
